SOWING SEEDS

…Chhattisgarh region for its fertile soil and five river basins is known as ‘rice bowl’ of the country. It has 22,000 varieties of indigenous rice grown by farmer communities for centuries. but increased pressure on land  have all led to damaging agricultural land, natural water resources, forests and lives of human and non human.
“…Mining's belief in its contribution to economic development is a truth that shines well on the industry”  without any mention of local disputes, environmental carnage and social, political, economic and cultural disruption…
Kokerenge performance by local indigenous Muria community after harvest in Bastar region, which takes place between midnight and dawn to pay tribute to the head of all deities who symbolizes the entire earth, is being relegated by the local authorities and the state police because of the fear of violence caused by the extreme left forces fighting along the villagers, against the hazardous development schemes causing destruction…

En reflektion över naturens former, tiden, ljuset och existensen.
Formen som bildas är nästan en hyperbolisk paraboloid, vanligast förekommande
formen i naturen.

Hidden Art along Gota Channel in the County of Ostergotland, Sweden  29 of June-15 of Sep 2014. This time we have invited artists from Sweden and from far and wide  to contribute with small artworks  that can be found as you walk along the channel or perceived as you sail past the winding channel. The artworks are of natural materials that age beautifully by the weather, but some can also stand out in choice of material and form. The artworks are   meant to  add thought provoking, poetical , political  or sensuous experience to your walk in nature .
The trees along the channel are in danger. Some of them are very old and dying of age,and some have illness. We want to awaken awareness of the situation and the need to save the trees !

The artists Alysse Stepanian and Philip Mantione from Los Angeles have created a website as  a piece of art for  the exhibition,  which they will update continually during the exhibition, see :  http://box1035.com/hidden.html
